Home. The ocean. The planet.
The first place we become human
And the last place we are human.
The first thing we see when we begin our life
And the last thing we see as our life ends
Yet, we treat it with such disgust.
Our planet has provided us with the gift of life
Always a tree stump to sit and think on
Some rain to calm your senses and water your crops during a famine
Air to soothe our lungs and sunlight to nourish us
The oceans, which are used purely for vacation spots
The only time luxuries are based around nature
Why do we have such little regard to the damage we’re doing?
Is it because we won’t see it take action in our lifetime, or we blind ourselves from reality?

When kids notice the differences, we get scared and pretend it’s non-existing “I don’t believe in climate change”
How can you not believe in a fact?
That’s a manufactured term made by people unwilling to accept their fate, but most of all, what they did “Our body is our temple” they say
But where do we keep our body?
Which place encompasses our body and welcomes it
For us to turn our backs and abandon it
It was there for us when we needed a start
Think of all the planet has done for you That indescribable feeling of walking barefoot on grass
Smelling the salt from the ocean a mile away
Feeling the wind in your hair
The sun shining on your skin
We are so lucky that this planet wanted to have us as it’s hosts
Don’t make it regret that.
