When we think of enjoyment we think of fun. When we think of captivity think of fun. When we think about Sea World and Marineland we think of fun. My question is here how can we think of fun and captivity together? The answer is we cannot. Forcing animals into captivity is solely for the enjoyment of humans, but not once do we ever look at how the animals feel. We forget that they are living breathing beings who have feelings. For tragedies and mishaps following these kind of activities we are always quick to blame the animals. We never stop to think about the care and the way the animals are being treated when they act this way. We as the target audience believe that these animals are treated fairly and equally as humans are, but this is not the case. We as a population make fools of ourselves by believing that these animals are treated the way they deserve to be while the truth is that animals are kidnapped for our own pleasure. Think about what it would be like to be ripped away from your homes taken far away from where you live and have somebody make you dance for others. Think of the violation that you will feel as you start to feel less than everyone else. These animals get ripped away from families treated brutally and even starved as if they are less than who they truly are. Animals are living and thriving beings created to feel as if they have a purpose in this world. The purpose of an animal is not to be captured for us. We should all take a good look in the mirror and decide who are the real animals here. We give into companies like Marineland and Sea World and bring our children to witness this as well. The world is changing. We are becoming more industrialized, but yet we still need to grow up and realize that wild animals like dolphins, orcas, and belugas, along with others do not belong in captivity. Captivity kills animals the same way depression could kill a person. Would you subject your own to be put through these conditions? Why are people so against human beings, being captured or enslaved when this is the type of treatment that animals get. If we all stand together as a group collectively, we can conquer this type of behaviour. No marine creatureor creature of any sort will go unheard.
