In today’s world, there are a lot of problems facing our oceans. The oceans were a place where animals used to live, be happy and enjoy their lives, but they do not anymore. This is because of problems such as coral bleaching, the dolphin drive, captivity, and a long list of many other issues. The issue I believe is most important is captivity. The ocean is supposed to be the only place for marine animals to live. When we take them out of their homes, we are taking them from something they are used to. I think about if I was taken from my mother and used to be looked at by people, I would feel very upset and just want to go home. This is how the animals feel when they are in captivity because they have feelings to. In order to stop animals from being taken into captivity, we as the target audience need to stop going to places like Sea World, Marine Land and other places that hold marine life captive. When they don’t have any customers, they won’t be able to run the park. If we all can do that, then we might be able to force them out of business! Another issue that is important is the dolphin drive. The dolphin drive is a major issue because it is where dolphins are being slaughtered for fishing. This is a real problem because the dolphins are slaughtered inhumanly and left to die. For us to stop this problem, I believe that we should let more people know about it in order to expose what is going on. By exposing companies that do this, they know that they will be being watched and maybe they will stop what they are doing. Lastly, coral bleaching is a big issue. Our coral reefs are dying because of human interactions and the footprint that we are leaving on it. This such as littering are small things that can be done to cater to coral bleaching. In order to top this, we can do things such as, recycle and dispose of garbage properly, use transportation methods that cater to a better environment and spread the word allowing people to do the same. By everyone doing this, WE CAN ALL MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE for OUR oceans today. By: Khalil
